Starlit walk at 3.40 am.
a dawn chorus walk.
Birds heard: Sedge warbler, reed warbler, reed bunting, cetti's warbler, mallard (ducklings), coot, song thrush, blackbird, wood pigeon, robin, barn owl, willow warbler, blue tit, great tit, pheasant, canada geese, swan, blackcap, chiffchaff, wren, carrion crow, tawny owl, swallow, kingfisher, greater spotted woodpecker, jay, a wadery sort of bird in flight..., otter (ok not a bird but wonderful - I only saw the whiskery snout and bubbles on surface of river as it swam)
